The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 was written for cases like mine. A District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission can hear disputes up to ₹50 lakh. Filing costs ₹200 for claims up to ₹5 lakh, ₹500 up to ₹10 lakh. You do not need a lawyer. Judges expect self-represented parties.
