Tell your stories & thoughts

You have something
to say.
Say it here.

Article19 is a home for your writing on ten subjects — and only these ten — that shape India today. Blog about something you did, something you learned, something you believe, or something you want others to think about. One rule: it must sit inside one of the ten categories below. This is not a general-purpose feed. It is a focused public square.

Ten subjects. Nothing else.

Pick the one your story or thought belongs to

Governance in Practice
What worked at the ward, panchayat or municipal level
Citizen audits, RTI wins, participatory budgeting, ward committees that actually met — the unglamorous grassroots of Indian democracy.
1 story
Community-Led Economics
Cooperatives, SHGs, and local models that lift people together
From dairy collectives to women’s savings groups to farmer producer companies — economic experiments rooted in trust, not just capital.
1 story
Legal Empowerment
Ordinary citizens using the law without an army of lawyers
Consumer court wins, RTI applications, tenant disputes, PILs, free legal aid clinics — the law is only powerful if it can be used.
1 story
Civic Tech for Public Good
Code and data that make the state more accountable
Complaint trackers, open data dashboards, WhatsApp bots for public services — technology written for the citizen, not the client.
1 story
Sustainable Development
Village-scale environmental wins that scale up
Water harvesting, solar transitions, waste segregation, urban forestry — the projects that beat pilot-project fatigue and stuck.
1 story
Education & Skill Sharing
Teaching one child, one class, one street at a time
Free coaching, night schools, digital literacy camps, mentorship networks — education outside the formal system, replicable anywhere.
1 story
Healthcare Access
Care where the market or state didn’t reach
Rural clinics, blood-group networks, mental health helplines, insurance literacy — stories from people closing the last-mile gap.
1 story
Women & Marginalised Voices
Breaking barriers by building better ones
Self-help groups, safety networks, first-generation entrepreneurs, journeys out of and against caste, class and gender walls.
1 story
Public Infrastructure Wins
Roads, parks, libraries and toilets that citizens built or fought for
Community libraries, restored heritage, fought-for foot overbridges, resident-run parks — hyperlocal wins with national relevance.
1 story
Ethical Technology & AI for Humanity
AI and open-source used for public good, not private extraction
Open-source government tools, accessibility tech, misinformation trackers, AI models trained for Indian languages and public benefit.

Blog your story.
Blog your thought.
Be heard.

We accept two kinds of writing: stories — something you did or witnessed — and thoughts — an argument you want India to consider. Both are welcome, provided they sit squarely inside one of the ten categories above. No general-interest posts, no opinion on cricket or cinema unless it touches governance, law, tech or society directly.

We edit for clarity, not for voice. We do not accept marketing pieces, paid placements, or party political propaganda. Every published piece is credited to the author, with location and role. If you are writing under a pseudonym for safety reasons, tell us why in your submission and we will consider case-by-case.

01
Pick one of the ten
Every piece must belong clearly to one category. State it up front.
02
600–2,000 words
Long enough to matter. Short enough to be read.
03
Bring your evidence
Personal experience, data, sources, photos — whichever you have.
04
Be honest, be civil
Disagree well. No personal attacks. No propaganda.

Blogging here is not the same as being published by Article19

This page is your blog — your voice, quickly approved, published under your name. If you want your work formally published as an Article19 Publication — with full editorial review, fact-checking and a place in our research library — that is a separate track with its own submission form.
